Party-Nominated Offices:
Be aware that in California if you wish to vote in the primary for a Democrat for President or Central Committee candidate (or Libertarian or American Independent candidate), you must be registered with that party or you may go into a voting center and exchange your ballot for one of those ballots.

If you wish to vote in the Primary for a Republican, Green Party or Peace & Freedom Presidential candidate or Central Committee you MUST be registered in that party. You cannot exchange your ballot during the election period.
