There is an unusually large number of candidates in some CA statewide races and as a result, the California Democratic Party (CADEM) was unable to reach consensus regarding endorsements for some of the statewide offices. Only CADEM or Central Committees can endorse statewide candidates.
In order to provide guidance to local voters on candidates who lack endorsement consensus, the South Lake Tahoe Democratic Club held a rank choice poll on April 28 to choose which candidates merit support. Since the number of voters was small, it was decided to support the winners in 2-way races and the top two in 3-way races (if spread was <7%).
VOTERS: the political scene is fluid. Please pay attention to the news and do your homework. Informed voters make a difference.
