LOCAL MEASURES

VOTE NO ON MEASURE "S"
Sales Tax for Emergency Services

Reason:
*No money would go to ambulance service in So Lake Tahoe.
*Majority of $ goes to Marshall Hospital on West Slope. None for Barton (moving to NV).
*Small % slated for SLT fire stations, none for forest service/CalFire.

  *additional sales tax of 0.375% for 30 years, for a total of 9.125 (currently 8.75). Maximum allowed is 10%, therefore little wiggle room for adding a more locally beneficial tax in the future.
* result in an additional $79.50 in annual household taxes.
